Episode No. 227 of The Modern Art Notes Podcast features Robert Adams.
Adams’ latest series, “Around the House,” goes on view at San Francisco’s Fraenkel Gallery today and will be on view through April 23. His latest book, of the same title, is available through both Fraenkel and Amazon.
Adams is among America’s greatest examiners of the West. He has published over 60 books, earned a MacArthur ‘genius’ grant and a Guggenheim, and numerous international awards. His most recent retrospective was organized by the Yale University Art Gallery and traveled around the world from 2011-14.
This is Adams’s second visit to The MAN Podcast. He was previously a guest in 2012.
During Adams’s conversation with host Tyler Green, he references Bryan Schutmaat’s “Grays the Mountain Sends” portfolio and Michael Brophy’s paintings.
