No. 87: Fourth of July clips

Episode No. 87 of The Modern Art Notes Podcast is a Fourth of July-weekend program that spotlights a mini-rush of light-and-space exhibitions with clips from three previous interviews with pioneering light-and-space artists.

The program includes clips from interviews with Larry Bell, Robert Irwin and Doug Wheeler. Bell’s work is on view in “Dynamo: A Century of Light and Motion in Art, 1913-2013” at the Grand Palais in Paris and in “Beyond Brancusi: The Space of Sculpture” at the Norton Simon Museum. The Whitney Museum of American Art has re-installed Irwin’s Scrim veil—Black rectangle—Natural light, Whitney Museum of American Art, New York (1977).

Air date: July 3, 2013.
